About the SACCO
The SACCO is owned by its members. Governance, voting rights, and member participation are handled according to the organization’s bylaws, applicable law, and internal policies.
Depending on your membership and the SACCO’s configuration, you may access savings, share capital, loans, statements, profile information, and Self Banking services.
Membership
Use the Join SACCO or registration option on the public website, provide the requested information, and complete any identity, eligibility, and document verification required by the SACCO.
The SACCO may request your full name, phone, email, identification details, address, occupation, next of kin, and other information required for membership and compliance.
Approval time depends on document verification and the SACCO’s internal review process. If additional information is required, the SACCO may contact you before activation.
Yes. An application may be declined when eligibility requirements are not met, required documents are missing, information cannot be verified, or the application does not satisfy SACCO policy.
Member Portal & Login
Select Member Login and enter the workspace and approved login identifier supported by your SACCO together with your password.
A workspace identifies the specific SACCO or tenant you belong to. It separates member records, transactions, staff access, and administration from other SACCO organizations using the platform.
Use the Forgot Password option on the login page and follow the verification instructions sent through the communication method configured by your SACCO.
Confirm the workspace, login identifier, and password. If the problem continues, contact SACCO support so staff can verify that your membership and portal credentials are active.
Savings
After signing in, open Savings in the member portal. Your recorded savings balances and transactions are displayed according to the SACCO’s account configuration.
Approved deposits and withdrawals are recorded against your savings account with a transaction reference, amount, date, and resulting balance where supported by the SACCO’s accounting setup.
Some deposits require verification or reconciliation before posting. A Self Banking receipt upload, for example, does not itself change your financial balance.
Self Banking
Self Banking allows a member to send money directly to an official SACCO bank, mobile money, or collection account and then submit the payment details and proof for verification.
Open Self Banking in the member portal, follow the official deposit instructions, enter the amount, transaction reference and date, then upload proof of payment when required.
No. A receipt upload only creates a deposit submission. The SACCO must verify and approve the deposit before any financial balance is changed.
Use only an official account listed in the SACCO portal or provided through verified SACCO communication. Do not send funds to accounts supplied through unverified messages or social media.
Authorized staff review and reconcile the payment. Once confirmed, the deposit can be approved and posted with the appropriate transaction, accounting, and audit records.
Share capital represents your ownership contribution in the SACCO. It is different from ordinary savings and may have different rules for transfer, withdrawal, dividends, and minimum holdings.
Not necessarily. Share capital is governed by the SACCO’s bylaws and policies. Contact the SACCO before assuming that share capital can be withdrawn on demand.
Sign in to the member portal and open Share Capital to review your recorded ownership contribution and related share transactions.
Loans
Eligibility depends on the loan product and policy. Common requirements include active membership, sufficient savings, repayment ability, acceptable existing exposure, and required guarantors or security.
No. A loan must go through appraisal and the required approval process. The SACCO may approve, decline, return, or refer an application depending on policy and risk review.
The loan must complete appraisal, required approvals, maker-checker controls where applicable, and disbursement authorization before funds are released.
Repayments are recorded against the loan and may be allocated to principal, interest, penalties, or other components according to the loan product and accounting rules.
Contact the SACCO before the due date. Staff can explain available options under the loan agreement and policy. Do not ignore overdue obligations.
Statements & Records
Sign in to the member portal and open Statements. Depending on the SACCO’s configuration, you may review savings, shares, loans, repayments, and other account activity.
Report it promptly and provide the date, amount, reference, and supporting evidence. Do not attempt to alter financial records yourself.
Security & Fraud Prevention
No legitimate support process should require you to disclose your password. Keep passwords, one-time verification codes, and authentication information private.
Use a strong unique password, keep your phone and email secure, sign out on shared devices, verify payment instructions, and report suspicious activity immediately.
Do not send money. Verify the instructions through the official SACCO portal or a trusted SACCO contact channel and report suspicious messages immediately.
